Southern Roots Summer Meet 2015

1 Posted by - June 14, 2015 - Event Coverage

The Southern Roots meets, held in the spring and summer in Bowling Green, Kentucky and Louisville, Kentucky, respectively, are the coolest meets you’ve never heard of. The Louisville meet is put on by several local companies along with Sears Auto Center. Located in the Sears parking lot, this meet is free to attend and open to all makes and models, both foreign and domestic.

One car that immediately stood out was a custom ordered, legal, registered Kia K7. This K7, known to the US market as the Cadenza, was custom ordered and comes just as one would in its native South Korea.

We sure do love our stanced Fords in Louisville.

And everything German.

Eurotrash Apparel brought out their beasts. A VR6 Turbo powered 993 and a bagged ‘Rocco.

But the JDM heroes have not been forgotten. Want some 2JZ with your turbo?

If this doesn’t make you want a DC4 Teg, I don’t know what will.

“DANGG” is right.

Southern Roots is a highlight for many enthusiasts in the Midwest. A laid back environment, free food, and great cars attract many from the Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Lexington area. If you ever find yourself in the area during June, you should make it a point to come check out this meet.
