In the tuning world, it takes a great deal of time, dedication and money to do something out of the ordinary with a car. But in the end, all the hard work pays off when the car starts to come together, like this gorgeous S2000. The owner, Ducky has spent countless hours getting this S2k to where it is today. As with every car, this one has a story as to how it came to be, but it is a bit different than the typical story.

Prior to this S2k Ducky owned another S2k which sat on a set of Workmeister S1’s with plenty of rare parts all throughout the entire car. But unfortunately it was stolen and found cut into pieces. He said “In 2011, I got my first S2K. After countless modifications, it was stolen a year later. At that time I felt devastated and even thought about quitting the car scene. However, my girlfriend and friends encouraged me to stick to my passion. Just two weeks later, I decided to continue my journey with the car of my love. I found this white S2K for sale another two weeks later and picked it up. It was love at first sight.” I find it truly amazing that even after having his car taken from him, he still came back into the scene and this time with even more motivation and dedication to make something over the top.

The rear just looks so damn good! The rear fenders are pulled with a INGS Rear Bumper, together they look absolutely incredible!

As for his inspiration for the build he said “So far as you can see from my car, I try to step out the box and try to make it look different from others. Instead of ordering fender flares, I had the rear fenders pulled and extended metal fenders made. Also for the side skirts, I order a pair of VIS Viper side skirts that I ended up having the body shop to cut and make it two pieces and filled in the vent on the side. When starting my build, I want my car to look clean and EZ on the eyes.”

Red Bride  Buckets and door panel accents give the interior a bold look to contrast the greyscale exterior.

Its the simple but tasteful bits that show his attention to details, like having the carbon fiber fenders and hood paint matched but leaving the vent raw carbon fiber to help emphasize how wide the fenders are.

Towards the end of the summer Ducky will be boosting his S2k to give the already incredible F20C even more spirit. Some of his favorite features of S2k’s are that It features a rigid X-bone frame which Honda claims improves the vehicle’s rigidity and collision safety. Also S2000’s have a 50/50 weight distribution, and are one of the best handling cars in its price range. And lastly the fact that they held the record for the highest horsepower per liter for any NA piston road production car for 10 years until the introduction of the Ferrari 458.

I love how well the widebody flows, it blends in yet once you take a closer look you realize how dramatic the curves are and your jaw drops to the floor. He has taken a car with gorgeous body lines and exaggerated them to keep the clean styling of the S2k, but at the same time adding an aggressive flare to the whole car.

Ducky would like to thank his girlfriend,  family,  Top Speed and Auto Plus for supporting him on his build.
