A few months ago we reviewed, an awesome cleaning tool called the Brush Hero, I recommend you read all about it here. Now the same people who created the Brush Hero have brought us the Soap Star!
The Soap Star is an attachment to your run of the mill water hose, which allows soap to spay directly onto your car.
It reminds me of self car washes, which have a soap dispensed into the sprayer and coat the car with soapy goodness.
However, with the Soap Star not only do you have the convenience of using it at your own home at your own leisure (let’s face it, 2 minutes of spray at the self wash is not enough), but it attaches to the Brush Hero as well!
Let’s try it out, shall we?
First, we’ll use it without the Brush Hero. To make life even easier, the Soap Star has a “quick release” head to connect to either a spray nozzle attachment or the Brush Hero.
Simply pull back the collar….
…and Viola! You have a sprayer head.
Next connect the provided hose attachment. You can see there is a switch on the attachment which turns can adjust the water pressure from all the way off to full strength.
Once you’ve screwed the Soap Star onto the hose, with the water off, fill the compartment with your favorite soap.
I think that this is one of my favorite parts, the ability to easily switch between water and soap.
Water.
Soap.
Coat the car and wipe it down with a car washing sponge.
Pro tip: Don’t wash your car in direct sunlight on a hot day. You’re just begging for water spots and for your soap to evaporate.
For smaller crevices, this is where the easy attaching Brush Hero really helps out.
Overall, the Soap Star is an exceptional product which pretty much eliminates the need for the proper “2 bucket system” when it comes to washing the car. With the soap star attached, you can rinse the car, turn the knob, coat it with soap, and then wipe off the grime with a sponge and you’ll only need to use one bucket to clean the sponge in between contact with the car. Not only that, but the attachment of the Brush Hero adds another level of convenience, you can easily clean small spaces and multispoked wheels.
