After long months of waiting and waiting, our Varis Arising II Kit was finally here! Our kit concluded of the front bumper, front lip, rear bumper, rear diffuser, and rear carbon air shrouds. The long awaited moment was finally here! Out of the box and straight to the body shop! Took the kit to Big Ron’s Autobody in Garden Grove, CA to get it fitted and painted. Thank you to Brian and Alex of Big Ron’s Autobody for taking on this project putting in hours of work to get this kit on our car!
A look at the rear bumper without the diffuser
A look at the front bumper with the front lip on.
Full tear down of the front and rear clips.
Fitting on the front bumper.
Prepping the front bumper for paint after trimming it to fit on the car.
I went ahead and got the front lip without the Carbon Fiber Lip Cover & Guards so I can shave them and fill them to color match the bumper.
Rear Bumper getting the base coat laid down.
Rear Diffuser getting it’s first coat of black!
Front Lip getting it’s base coat down as well.
Decided to stick with my vertex sides
Front bumper getting the gloss black laid down first before it’s taped off for the white base coat.
All done in the paint booth!
Time to install!
OOOOOOO WHEEEE. I was smiling from ear to ear when I saw the kit on. From here I let Brian and Alex do their thing with wiring everything back up and prep it for the delivery the following day.
Took the car home on Wednesday, 3 days before debuting it at Spocom.
Here’s a shot of the rear.
So I took delivery of the car with the new kit on Wednesday, giving me 2 days to prep it for Spocom on Saturday. That meant getting it a full paint correction by Glazetechnica, tires mounted on the RSV Forged RXVs by 714 tires, fitment dialing by Fender Defender & then Aligning it at Thanh Auto all with work both those days. Thankfully I have great friends I can depend on to help me out with a few tasks while I was at work.
