Papa Smurf’s E39

Building a car is never easy, and neither is deciding what route you wanna take with it. May it be a track star, a quarter mile muncher, a VIP showcar, or a low & slow daily, there are so many options. With so many choices out there, that is where Papa Smurf decided to go with an option that would allow him to show off his car on the weekend, daily it during the week, and something that his budget would allow him. He went for the clean & simple look on a Bmw 5 series, a car you don’t see modded very often.

Papa smurf has always liked Bmw’s he started out with a Bmw z3 which is now currently the Infamous 2_Fresh z3 owned by Marty. Then he bought a e46 which he made a great start in the car scene with, however the inline 6 just wasn’t enough power for him. He quickly moved on to getting this beautiful 5-series with the plan of supercharging it. He also bought a e36 to daily while this 5-series would go under the knife. Its safe to say that he has a love for Bmws. The e36 was later sold to contribute to the build of this car.

One of the first mods on this car aside from painting this car a lovely Laguna Seca Blue, was the custom triple JL audio w3 sub setup with a custom paint matched box w/ a custom wrapped & plexi-glassed covered Jl Audio amp. All built himself. Papa Smurf is actually the one responsible for building the custom sub boxes you see in the Carsxhype Norcal show crew cars. Most people think that the e39 came out of the factory in Laguna Seca Blue, but that is false! This car was painted the with the OEM e46 m3 Laguna Seca Blue, which we are in love with.

In less than a year this car has come together, and is now soon to be sold. Even though this car is clean & simple doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have a lot of high quality mods on it. The mods range from more notable things like the 20″ DPE Signature rims wrapped in Toyo t1 tires 275/30/20 R & 245/30/20 F to less noticeable ones like the fact that the whole car was converted to an m5 body. Everything is also paint matched from the engine bay to the trunk setup, everything is Laguna Seca Blue.

You may also notice the carbon fiber accents complimenting the car with that hint of class & performance. No expense was sparred in choosing the mods on this car. The car has a real Hamman front lip, CF rear window visor, and CF door pillars. Out back is a Schiedmann exhaust.
