Feast your eyes on Matt’s gorgeous S13 coupe. In 2002 Matt started his search for a car, his guidelines for his search were simple – cheap and RWD. He ended up with getting this S13 coupe for only $300 and his build began. When he started his build there were very few people doing engine swaps in 240sx’s, he decided to go with an LS. He said He picked the LS because it was much more practical and cheaper than many other common engines like 2JZ’s, 1JZ’s and RB’s, he had already done SR swap’s in the past and wanted to do something different, parts are very easy to find for LS’s because they are fairly common and at the time no one else had done the swap.

Thanks to the bolt-on fender flares he has spot on fitment and not have to worry about any rubbing issues.

Matt has done just about every type of racing with this S13, he has taken it Autocrossing, Road Racing, Drifting and even to the Drag Strip yet he can still take it to shows and win trophies with it. It is truly a multipurpose track car yet he can still get 28mpg on the highway, I’d say that’s pretty impressive.

The engine bay is just as clean as the rest of the car, the swap doesn’t look out-of-place at all which is impressive considering it is an engine with twice the number of cylinders of the stock engine.

Matt initially built this car to be a highway monster/ fast and reliable daily driver, he has hit 178 in the car! Matt said “There was a new C6 vette trying to mess with me on the highway, I Destroyed him. We both got off on Arlington heights rd. and the passenger hung out the window and asked, “What the hell do you have in that thing?” I said “that engine”, he said “You’re making me look bad. He was on a test drive.”
